If everyone/anyone would give me an opinion. Well those of you who know me, know I have wanted to compete in the Mrs. South Carolina pageant for sometime. Well I had decided to compete this year and then my husband gets orders to Afhanastan. He told me to compete anyway and allow my oldest son to walk me accross stage but I am conflicted about it. What would you do ????

I think you should go for it. It would be an honor for you to dedicate your success to your husband. And it would help keep you motivated in losing the baby lbs. What does your son think of it? Is he okay with walking across the stage? Some children are really shy, I wouldn't want to make him do it if it was like torture for him. And what about your daughter? Would she feel bad if she wasn't asked to do it? The escort thing, I think should be a family decision, but you doing the pageant, I think it is a wonderful idea. Good luck.

India You have to do this...I do know this has been your plan. I think Rachel is right. Dedicate this to your husband. let me know all the info so I can schedule time for a stay at the resort during that time.

Where will they be holding the competition? Maybe we could all be there?

I agree with everyone else, go for it. Also, speaking from one spouse to another, having a goal to concentrate on make the time pass a little quicker when he is in Afghanistan.
